Adding the LPA Parent Calendar to Your Personal Calendar

We are so excited to share that our website is now synced with a Google Calendar. This change ensures our website calendar is up-to-date and communicative of the various functions of the school. Everything from parent-teacher conferences to PTO meetings to LPA playdates will now be captured in 1 central location.

And, the best part is you can sync the LPA Parent Calendar directly with your calendar through a computer or mobile device. To get the LPA Parent Calendar, please follow these directions:

First- you’ll need this Link- 

From your computer: (See photo to the right) 

1) Open Google Calendar

2) On the left side, find “Other calendars” and click the down arrow .

3) Select Add by URL.

4) Enter the calendar’s address in the field provided. The address needs to be an ICAL link.

5) Click Add calendar. The calendar will appear on the left side under “Other calendars.”


From your iPhone:

Step 1
Write down or copy the URL for the Google Calendar you want to add to your iPhone.

Step 2
Tap the “Settings” icon, then scroll down and select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars.”

Step 3
Tap “Add Account” and select “Other.”

Step 4
Select the “Add Subscribed Calendar” option, fill in the Google Calendar URL in the Server box and click “Next.” Change any settings you see fit before saving the calendar. You do not need a username or password.

Step 5
Toggle your view of the subscribed calendar by opening the Calendar app and tapping “Calendars” in the upper left corner. Tap a calendar name to either display or remove calendar events.


From your Android phone:

Step 1: On your Android device, you may have to clear the existing calendars and re-sync the data for a new calendar to show up.

Step 2: Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / Calendar -> Clear Data

Step 3: Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / Calendar Storage -> Clear Data

Step 4: Wait a few minutes and you should be able to see the new calendar. If the new calendar does not show up, also do the following:

Step 5: Settings / Accounts & sync -> select your account, uncheck the “Sync Calendar” option

Step 6: Wait a few minutes and re-check the Sync Calendar option to see
Keep in mind that if you have 2-step verification enabled on your phone, you may have to remove the account entirely and re-add it.
