Paul M. Brown is a partner at Thompson Coburn, LLP, where he focuses his law practice on the trial of civil lawsuits in state and federal court in Missouri and Illinois. Paul’s law firm is located in downtown St. Louis. Paul is a member of the Board of Directors of the Partnership for Downtown St. Louis, co-chair of the Downtown Residents Council, and Chair of Lawyers for City Neighborhoods, a committee of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Paul has served as an adjunct professor of law at St. Louis University School of Law and has been recognized as one of the Super Lawyers of Missouri® and Best Lawyers in America®. He was a 2013 Recipient of the St. Louis Bar Foundation’s Spirit of Justice Award and in the same year was named by St. Louis Small Business Weekly as one of the 100 People in St. Louis You Need to Know.

Dr. Robert Dillon is the Director of Technology and Innovation at the Affton School District. He has worked in education for 17 years and 14 years as a school leader. He is passionate about innovation in education and implementing best practices for all students. Dr. Dillon presents and writes on these topics and others in education throughout the country. Dr. Dillon is married and has two kids. He also squeezes in time for running, biking, reading, and traveling.

Shane Duggin is a compliance attorney at Edward Jones. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at Truman State University (Justice Systems) and his juris doctorate at St. Louis University School of Law. In 2000, while at Truman State, Shane participated in the Missouri State Legislature internship program, where he worked for State Senator Ted House, chairman of the Senate Education Committee and sponsor of the 1998 legislation that authorized charter schools in Missouri. Prior to joining Edward Jones, Shane was the area director for K-Life, a inter-denominational Christian youth ministry, in Kirksville, MO. Shane lives with his wife, Erin, and their three children in Lafayette Square.

Hedda Etherington-Hall is a graduate of College of the Ozarks and Boston University School of Law. After graduating from BU’s Law School, she clerked for Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. Subsequently, she was an attorney at both Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston, and Bryan Cave LLP in St. Louis, where she worked on a wide variety of corporate and securities matters. Hedda and her husband Steven, both enthusiastic supporters of downtown St. Louis, have lived in Lafayette Square with their children Emmett and Iris for the last nine years.

is a runner, registered dietitian, and local St. Louis businessperson. She runs the largest distributorship of Cutco Cutlery in the Midwest. A graduate of St. Louis University, she resides in Downtown St. Louis with her husband, son and daughter.

Jeff Lea is the Public Relations Manager for Lambert St. Louis International Airport with responsibilities for oversight of all media relations, customer services, event management, social media and community outreach. Jeff previously worked as an on-air reporter for KMOV TV in St. Louis and prior to that worked as a television news anchor and producer. He has a B.S. degree in Journalism from Texas Christian University.

has lived in downtown St. Louis with her husband, Mark, for nine years. A major supporter of city living, Karen serves on the Board of Directors of the downtown Community Improvement District (CID) and St. Patrick Center. Now retired from a career in Advertising and Marketing, Karen spends her time volunteering and supporting issues that will improve the quality of life in the city of St. Louis. Karen and Mark have two grown children.

Hannah Miller is a graduate of Saint Louis University with a BS degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Accounting. She is a CPA with eight years of experience at Ernst & Young in the Advisory practice where she served a variety of Fortune 500 companies throughout the St. Louis region. She currently works for BJC HealthCare as a Manager of Financial Analytics, providing financial analysis and reports to users throughout the organization. Hannah lives in the City of St. Louis with her husband and three daughters.

is currently a real estate developer who has worked for the last 10 years primarily in Downtown St. Louis, renovating large vacant historic buildings, totaling over $500 million in costs. For eight years, Matt ran a division for the largest urban developer in St. Louis. Previously, Matt worked as an attorney for 5 years after graduating from law school at St. Louis University. Matt brings professional skills in real estate, finance, subsidy for urban redevelopment, space planning, general business practices, and law. Matt has also studied extensively in the areas of autism, ADHD and other psychological disorders, sensory processing abnormalities, and the human stress response. Matt’s spouse is a PHD social worker who works at Washington University in the schools of Occupational Therapy and Psychology. Matt lives in Downtown with his spouse and two boys.

is the Executive Vice President of Paulo Products Company, a commercial heat treater and metal finisher located in the City of St. Louis. Terry has served on a number of non-profit boards and finance committees, including 14 years on school boards. He has a BS and an MS from Stanford University.

Mike Werkheiser is the pastor of City Church in Soulard. He is a graduate of Penn State University (B.S.) and Covenant Theological Seminary (M.Div.). Mike moved to the City of St. Louis in 2007. He and his family live in Lafayette Square. As the father of three young children, the desire for quality education options for his two girls and boy has become a driving passion in recent years. Having a father who was a professor at Penn State University for 36 years and a brother who is currently an accomplished school administrator in Maryland, Mike is familiar with what is required to achieve high academic excellence. Additionally, being a pastor in the city has cultivated in Mike a heart for the city’s holistic restoration, something in which education plays a prominent role.
