Board Member and Founder

Paul M. Brown is a partner at Thompson Coburn, LLP, where he focuses his law practice on the trial of civil lawsuits in state and federal court in Missouri and Illinois. Paul’s law firm is located in downtown St. Louis. Paul is a member of the Board of Directors of the Partnership for Downtown St. Louis, co-chair of the Downtown Residents Council, and Chair of Lawyers for City Neighborhoods, a committee of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Paul has served as an adjunct professor of law at St. Louis University School of Law and has been recognized as one of the Super Lawyers of Missouri® and Best Lawyers in America®. He was a 2013 Recipient of the St. Louis Bar Foundation’s Spirit of Justice Award and in the same year was named by St. Louis Small Business Weekly as one of the 100 People in St. Louis You Need to Know.

Allison Dodds is the Associate Director of Development at City Academy, a private independent elementary school in North St. Louis. She has over 7 years of progressive development experience primarily in schools. Prior to moving to St. Louis in 2012, Allison worked in development at the Francis W. Parker School and North Shore Country Day School in Chicago. She is an active member of the St. Louis Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and serves on their Board as Chair of the Young Professionals Committee. Allison is passionate about ensuring all children in St. Louis and beyond have access to a high quality education. She is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Board President and Founder

Hedda Etherington-Hall is a graduate of College of the Ozarks and Boston University School of Law. After graduating from BU’s Law School, she clerked for Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. Subsequently, she was an attorney at both Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston, and Bryan Cave LLP in St. Louis, where she worked on a wide variety of corporate and securities matters. Hedda and her husband Steven, both enthusiastic supporters of downtown St. Louis, have lived in Lafayette Square with their children Emmett and Iris for the last nine years.

Tina E. Grimes is a servant-leader. She has inspired children and adults in the St. Louis community and beyond for over 20 years as a motivational speaker, trainer and consultant for her company, Success Academy, LLC.

She also serves as Adjunct Professor at Harris Stowe State University; Managing Director, Partnerships for Teach For America St. Louis; and Co-Pastor of FaithWorks Fellowship Ministries. She led the development efforts alongside the former Cardinal Ritter College Prep board to build the new school, and has received numerous awards for service such as Inaugural Woman of Distinction Award for Inspiration from Girl Scout Council of Eastern

Missouri and Who’s Who in Black St. Louis. She received a BS in Business Administration and Finance from Jackson State University and a Master of Arts in Human Service Agency Management from Lindenwood University.

She has been married to Mark for 16 years, enjoys being mom to Mya and Mason, and is a published author. As a proud LPA parent, Tina is honored to serve on the Board of such an amazing school!

Board Vice President and Founder

Jeff Lea is the Public Relations Manager for Lambert St. Louis International Airport with responsibilities for oversight of all media relations, customer services, event management, social media and community outreach. Jeff previously worked as an on-air reporter for KMOV TV in St. Louis and prior to that worked as a television news anchor and producer. He has a B.S. degree in Journalism from Texas Christian University.

Board Treasurer and Founder

Hannah Miller is a graduate of Saint Louis University with a BS degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Accounting. She is a CPA with eight years of experience at Ernst & Young in the Advisory practice where she served a variety of Fortune 500 companies throughout the St. Louis region. She currently works for BJC HealthCare as a Manager of Financial Analytics, providing financial analysis and reports to users throughout the organization. Hannah lives in the City of St. Louis with her husband and three daughters.

Ellen Moceri

Ellen Moceri earned her BA and MA from Washington University, with ED.D coursework and exams completed from Teacher’s College of Columbia University. Mrs. Moceri has been an active developer of innovative curriculum and pedagogy in all of the schools in which she has served in a position of leadership. Her positions ranging in title from Teacher to Head of School in locations ranging from St. Louis to Mexico City. As Head of three different schools, Mrs. Moceri has created and led a team to implement four different strategic plans, all of which required master planning, building, zoning approvals, and significant capital campaigns. As Mrs. Moceri concludes her 48 year career in school leadership and returns with her husband to her native city of St. Louis, she hopes to be able to continue to help independent schools develop in their students the ability for and the belief in serving their communities.

Michelle is registered nurse with a B.S. in Biology and an A.D. in Nursing. She is a Supervisor at People’s Health Center and brings experience in the field of Human Resources to the LPA board. Her son is a student at LPA. Michelle is a member of the school’s Community Outreach & Marketing Committee
