Amanda Armer is in her third year as a full-time member of the LPA community and in her fourth year working After Care. When she’s not assisting staff and students, she can be found taking care of books for the school library. Amanda loves sharing and discovering stories with students as well as recommending personal favorites and classic gems. She lives a short drive away with her fuzzy feline monsters, Felix and Muddy, as well as shelves of treasured books which she started collecting as a child. Amanda has been a resident of Saint Louis since 2014, after growing up in Hermosa Beach, California. She got her bachelor’s degree in English and minored in Studio Arts at Loyola Marymount University, in Los Angeles. Working with kids of all ages inspires her curiosity and sense of wonder. Helping students explore worlds within literature is an endless source of joy, and one she’s very excited to continue at LPA.
